Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Director to lead our Major Projects team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex construction projects on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Delivery:

  • Lead and direct all aspects of project delivery, including planning, budgeting, and cost reporting.
  • Ensure quality and safety standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Team Management:

  • Oversee the activities of direct report entities, including Safety, Quality, Engineering, and Construction teams.
  • Establish and maintain a competent resource in each area to meet contract requirements.

Contract Management:

  • Ensure effective and compliant management of contracts, including procurement, material control, and construction activities.
  • Verify estimates based on detailed review of proposal specifications.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Represent PNR RailWorks or associated Joint-Venture in preparation and presentation of reports to Executive Committee and third parties.
  • Provide written correspondence with clients, designers, partners, subcontractors, suppliers, and other parties.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in a related field of study.
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant project experience in a heavy civil major project environment.
  • Professional designation such as Professional Engineer or Project Management Professional is considered an asset.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to communicate in both English and French.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with competitive compensation, attractive benefits, and pension plans.
  • Significant overnight travel, mainly in Eastern Canada.
