Job Title: Registered Nurse - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

Hamilton Health Sciences is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill children and their families, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill children, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines in pediatric critical care.
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or willingness to complete within six months of start date.
  • Minimum two years recent nursing experience in a pediatric setting.
  • Current pediatric critical care experience preferred.
