Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse Opportunity

Hamilton Health Sciences is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse to join our team. As a member of our multi-professional healthcare team, you will provide medical and surgical intensive care to critically ill children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and evaluate patient care, providing nursing care according to the standards of practice for Registered Nurses.
  • Work collaboratively in fast-paced, complex, and highly technologically integrated environments.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, utilizing evidence-based best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide family-centered care, prioritizing the needs of patients and their families.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the advancement of pediatric critical care practices.
Requirements:
  • Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or willingness to complete within six (6) months of start date.
  • Certificate in Pediatric Critical Care or equivalent.
  • Minimum two (2) years recent nursing experience in a pediatric setting.
  • Current pediatric critical care experience preferred.
