Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Urban Development Project Coordinator to join our team at Ville de Laval. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing urban development projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage urban development projects, including planning, design, and construction phases;
  • Work closely with stakeholders, including developers, architects, engineers, and city officials, to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the required standards;
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans;
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery;
  • Ensure that all project documentation, including reports, minutes, and correspondence, is accurate, complete, and up-to-date;
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including planning, engineering, and finance, to ensure that projects are aligned with city policies and procedures;
  • Provide excellent customer service to developers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, ensuring that their needs are met and expectations are exceeded;
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in urban development policies, procedures, and regulations, and ensure that projects are compliant with all relevant requirements;
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field;
  • At least 6 years of experience in urban development project coordination, including experience in planning, design, and construction phases;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Project;
  • Membership in the Ordre des urbanistes du Québec;
