About the Role


The Apex Group is a leading provider of fund administration and middle office solutions. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hedge Fund Assistant Vice President to join our team in a key role that will oversee and assist in the client service of our Hedge Fund administration clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Lead the client relationship management for assigned clients, ensuring exceptional service standards and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Cross-Selling and Business Development
    • Actively cross-sell our suite of services to our client base, identifying opportunities to upsell and expand our services.
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance
    • Prepare and review financial statements and other fund administration reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Project Management and Integration
    • Assist in the management of global projects and client integration, ensuring seamless onboarding and transition of new clients.
  • Operational Oversight
    • Oversee the operational work for our Hedge Fund clients, including coordination with work performed in other locations globally.
  • Audit and Compliance
    • Manage the complete audit process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • NAV Preparation and Review
    • Assist in the management of the NAV preparation and review process for our Hedge Fund clients.
  • Procedure and Policy Adherence
    • Ensure adherence to documented procedures and policies, maintaining a high level of quality and control.

About You


We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in fund administration and client service. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Approximately 5+ years' fund accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of complex fund structures and fund accounting
  • High degree of commercial awareness and client service focus
  • Knowledge of partnership accounting, management fee, and incentive fee methodologies
  • Strong leadership skills and supervisory experience of other professionals
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills to develop working relationships with colleagues, clients, and other divisions
  • Professional accounting qualification a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to automate processes
  • Knowledge of investor KYC and AML requirements
