Job Summary:
This full-time, permanent role will play a key part in supporting the safety and environmental compliance operations at 360 Engineering & Environmental Consulting. As an Environmental Health Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining safety initiatives and compliance with environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety across all company operations.
Main Responsibilities:)
- Support and maintain safety initiatives and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Promote a culture of safety across all company operations.
- Manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines, motivating others through change, and ensuring compliance with all safety procedures and policies.
- Maintain safety standards that meet or exceed 360 EHS regulations, including Canadian Provincial requirements (OSHA, MOE, and other local standards).
- Evaluate and report on risk management practices and recommend improvements.
- Develop and implement safety programs and procedures.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to implement EHS processes that drive continuous improvement, maintain compliance, and reduce risk.
Requirements:)
- Degree in Health, Safety, or related discipline (Technical Diploma or Bachelor's degree is an asset).
- ~3+ years of experience with EHS federal regulatory compliance, reporting, training, and tracking.
- Strong understanding of safety principles, practices, and regulations.
- Able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and other relevant software.
