About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled individual to join our team as a Part-Time Emergency Services Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of emergency assistance services to families and individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct needs assessments for clients, determine the type and level of emergency service required, and provide support accordingly.
  • Manage pantry operations, including volunteer hours and inventory, and refer clients to other services as needed.
  • Provide crisis intervention and supportive counseling to clients, and make referrals to professional or spiritual counseling services when necessary.
  • Deliver POH case management services to 3-5 families at a time, meeting with clients monthly, developing individualized service plans, and making referrals to community resources.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records, adhering to Salvation Army policies and practices.

Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer service orientation.
  • Ability to read and comprehend required documents.
  • Able to work in an active office environment and think critically to assure task completion.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred.
