At Altair Engineering, we're seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our team of innovators. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you'll work on AI-powered engineering software products, developing infrastructure and data pipelines to harvest data from engineering simulations and build high-performing machine learning models.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with data science, engineering, and web development teams to productize new features for both desktop and cloud products.
  • Develop software solutions that integrate electronics and controls with mechanical design to expand product value.
  • Work on advanced HPC and cloud solutions to support unlimited idea exploration.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development.
  • Strong proficiency in C++ and Python.
  • Strong numerical background.
  • Ability to write clear, modular code and unit tests.
  • Interest in solving engineering problems.
  • Comfortable in both Windows and Linux.
  • Experience with Git (or other version control software).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
