About the Role

Celestica, a leading electronics manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join their team in Newmarket, ON. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for setting up and calibrating mechanical assembly tools, ensuring high-quality products are manufactured in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble fabricated parts at floor stations, testing and calibrating parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
  • Lift up to 30lbs and operate machinery with moderate frequency.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications.
  • Collaborate with the team to prevent defects, increase efficiency, and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Perform maintenance tasks and standard start checks as per HOS.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of English language, good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-to-eye coordination.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.
  • Previous experience as an assembler is an asset.
  • College certificate in a related field is an asset.
  • Basic PC skills are preferred.
