Job Summary

The Associate Technician is a key member of our team, responsible for inspecting and assembling lenses in preparation for various AR treatments. This role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work in a dynamic production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare vacuum equipment according to established procedures and ensure proper operating conditions for the vacuum coating machine.
  • Sort lenses for necessary coating application based on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Follow SOPs for coating processes, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Clean, mount, and prepare lenses for batch processing using high-intensity lamps.
  • Load batches of lenses and materials for evaporation, maintaining a continuous flow.
  • Operate and monitor the vacuum machine, communicating equipment operating conditions and process updates to supervisors.
  • Unload the vacuum coating machine and provide lenses to the downloading station.
  • Perform spectro-analysis on every batch using the SMR system.

Requirements

  • Job experience may be considered in place of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Proficient in English, with the ability to read, write, and speak fluently.
  • Manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Ability to meet measurable standards in a dynamic production environment, with depth perception, fine motor skills, and manual dexterity.
  • Attention to detail and precision are essential.
  • Autonomy and the ability to adapt to change are required.
  • Manual dexterity and timeliness are necessary.
  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to walk/stand for the full duration of the shift.
  • Ability to regularly lift 10 pounds.
