Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Generalist to join our team at Metalogic Inspection Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a range of HR functions, including recruitment, benefits, onboarding, and employee relations, across both Canada and the US.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, interviewing, and hiring processes.
  • Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits plans and liaise with Payroll on changes and updates.
  • Leave Management: Oversee all types of leave, including WCB, disability, maternity, etc.
  • Employee Records: Maintain accurate electronic employee files and update organizational charts as needed.
  • HR Projects: Initiate and support various HR projects and provide guidance on relevant training.
  • Employee Relations: Assist with discipline-related issues, investigate and resolve employee relation matters, and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Record-Keeping: Ensure accurate record-keeping and system maintenance for private personnel data.

Requirements:

  • Certificate or diploma in Human Resources.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in HR, preferably in a medium-sized business.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, provincial, and state employment and human rights laws in both Canada and the US is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and Dayforce preferred.
  • Must already be legally entitled to work in Canada.
