Key Responsibilities

  • Contract Management
    • Proactively respond to issues that impact on contract requirements and facilitate solutions in a timely manner.
    • Share methodologies that will bring about improvements systemically.
  • Team Leadership
    • Organize, direct, manage, and coordinate the project team members to build teamwork and ensure high performance.
    • Provide leadership and proactive management and direction for a cohesive and sustainable team environment.
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Comply with Company Risk Management, Quality Assurance, and Safety programs, policies, systems, and procedures, including federal, state, and local legislations and statutory.
  • Client and Stakeholder Management
    • Establish and maintain effective relations with the Client, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Financial Management
    • Oversee planning, estimating, procurement, and financial responsibilities to optimize cost/benefit.
    • Monitor financial performance, conduct financial analysis, and prepare performance information and recommendations for incorporation into periodic reports to management.
  • Contract and Project Compliance
    • Monitor contract and project compliance with the company's policies and procedures in relation to legal, financial, safety, and administration matters.
  • Subcontractor and Supplier Management
    • Provide input into the development, review, negotiation, and implementation of subcontractor and supplier agreements to gain the best possible return for the contract.
  • Safety and Quality
    • Responsible for the overall safety of all project personnel.
    • Promote a positive safety culture in the workplace through personal example and by requiring full compliance of all safety policies and procedures.
  • Customer Service
    • Develop and maintain a relationship with the customer that reflects a partnership approach and demonstrates sound understanding of the customer's needs.
    • Develop a customer service culture throughout the project.
    • Effectively resolve problems and concerns of the client.

Requirements

  • Education
    • Bachelor's Degree in a relative discipline or degree can be substituted for equivalent work experience and technical expertise in asset management, road maintenance, or a related field.
  • Experience
    • 2-3 years industry experience, previous management/supervisory experience highly desired.
    • Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record to drive a company vehicle.
  • Skills
    • Advanced knowledge of asset management and road maintenance, repair, and/or construction.
    • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
    • Ability to negotiate, coordinate, and plan effectively.
    • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Well-organized, self-directed individual with the ability to provide strong leadership.
    • Ability to manage and organize multiple priorities, maintain a significant customer focus, and positive customer service attitude.
    • Proficient computer skills.
    • Highly developed sense of safety awareness and perceptive ability.
    • Ability to recognize hazards inherent in routine and non-routine tasks and make adjustments to avoid loss, injury, or accident.
    • Ability to communicate with coworkers' safety instructions.
    • Able to think clearly and focus on your safety in your immediate surroundings, while using tools and equipment, while driving or operating equipment.
