Job Summary

The University of Ottawa is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Academic Tutor for the Fall and Winter 2024-25 semester. As an Academic Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting students in their academic journey, providing guidance and mentorship to help them achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide academic support to students in the Common Law program
  • Develop and implement effective tutoring strategies to meet the needs of students
  • Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff to ensure seamless support
  • Stay up-to-date with curriculum changes and developments in the field
  • Collaborate with other tutors and academic staff to ensure consistency and quality of support

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and abilities
