About the Role:

The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) is seeking a highly skilled Regional Clinical Supervisor to lead the Community Counselling program in the Beaufort Delta region. As a key member of the Primary Community Care (PCC) and Community Wellness and Support Services (CWSS) Program teams, you will provide clinical supervision, education, and leadership to Community Counsellor positions, ensuring adherence to NTHSSA standards and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and deliver ongoing individual and group clinical supervision sessions to enhance staff skills and client welfare.
  2. Teach clinical skills and current counselling theories to staff, promoting evidence-based practice models and culturally safe services.
  3. Monitor staff skill development, evaluate competencies, and develop prevention and promotion initiatives to support client needs.
  4. Mentor care coordination techniques and provide early intervention during or after critical incidents.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require a Master's degree in counselling psychology, clinical psychology, or social work, with three years of relevant counselling experience in a scope of practice or experience restricted to addictions, mental health, and/or family violence. Additionally, you must have one year of experience in supervising or leading a team in a Mental Health and Addictions setting. Registration with a relevant professional regulatory body is also required.
