Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team at SKYSIGNAL TELECOM LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair faults in telecommunications equipment and networks
  • Install and maintain telephone equipment, wiring, and associated hardware
  • Operate computerized testing systems to conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment
  • Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures
  • Determine work assignments and prioritize tasks
  • Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access
  • Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers
  • Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in telecommunications or a related field
  • Or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work outdoors and at heights
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
