Brampton Vision Centre Inc. seeks an experienced Optical Technician II to join our team. Key responsibilities include administering eye drops and medications as directed by ophthalmologists, developing patient information materials, and maintaining inventories of medications and pharmaceutical products.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer eye drops, ointments, and medications as directed by ophthalmologists
  • Develop patient information materials
  • Follow through on treatment programs with patients
  • Maintain inventories of medications and pharmaceutical products
  • Operate ophthalmic testing and measuring instruments
  • Record test results and medications given by ophthalmologists
  • Maintain equipment and supplies
  • Process claims such as health insurance or workers compensation
  • Maintain inventory of equipment
  • Perform general clerical duties
  • Schedule and confirm appointments
  • Take patients' general medical and ophthalmic history
