About the Role:

As a Field Automation Systems Specialist with Siemens Mobility, you will be responsible for performing project start-up, checkout, and troubleshooting tasks for systems installed jobs. You will provide guidance to contractors and direction to subcontractors, acting as an external liaison with customers while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. This field position typically works at commercial, industrial, and institutional construction sites or occupied facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform wiring checkout, system start-ups, and programming using commissioning tools provided.
- Create graphics and manage databases.
- Complete final critical adjustments, calibration, and commissioning reports on systems following installation and preliminary setup.
- Work towards the project schedule and work package received from the supervisor and/or project manager, maintaining regular communication on the status and execution of the projects assigned.
- Participate in job site final walks on assigned jobs and/or final completion for systems to service turnover on assigned jobs.
- Complete all job closeout documentation per PMSBT Acceptance process policy as well as any RMA and warranty labour relief.

Requirements:

- College or technical school (electrical, mechanical, or control engineering) or equivalent combination of education and related practical experience.
- 1-2 years of direct experience working with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Graphic Design.
- BAS programming is preferred but not required.
- Commissioning and start-ups experience is desired.
- Proficiency with Communication Protocols: BACnet, Modbus, TCP/IP, MSTP.
- Proficiency in reading mechanical and electrical prints.
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems is necessary.
- Self-motivated and calm under pressure; willing to communicate and work through complex problems.
- Autonomy, resourcefulness, and strong organizational skills are essential.
- Commercially and technically aware.
- IT literate and possess proficiency in Windows applications, including MS Office suite.
- A valid driver's license and ability to drive a company vehicle to customers in assigned regions are mandatory.
