About the Role

Clover Leaf Stables Equestrian Centre Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Equestrian Centre Foreman/Woman to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our horse stable, ensuring the health and well-being of our equine friends, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Animal Care: Handle and care for horses, including feeding, grooming, and providing veterinary care as needed.
  • Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, including feeding and watering systems, forklifts, and other equipment.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of animal health, feed inventory, and work assignments.
  • Staff Management: Hire, train, and supervise staff members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in horse stable management or a related field.
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required, but a strong understanding of animal care and management principles is essential.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication, but proficiency in other languages is an asset.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, physically demanding work, and attention to detail required.
  • Work Schedule: 44 hours per week, with flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
