We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Horse Stable Foreman/Woman to join our team at Clover Leaf Stables Equestrian Centre Inc.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our horse stable, ensuring the health and well-being of our equine athletes, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers
  • Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
  • Formulate feeding programs and maintain quality control and production records
  • Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs
  • Train horses and maintain work records and logs
  • Hire and train staff, and operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
  • Perform general farm duties, schedule work assignments, and track and report on current feed inventory
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in horse stable management or a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and physically demanding conditions
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions
  • Work site environment: dusty, noisy, outdoors, horse breeding, livestock
  • Work setting: rural area
