We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced French language educator to join our team at Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. as a part-time French teacher/tutor/coach.

About the Role:

As a French language educator, you will work directly with students in a small group setting, providing personalized instruction and guidance to help them improve their French language skills. You will be responsible for teaching up to 3 students at a time, following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies, and maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching French language skills to students of various levels
  • Developing and implementing lesson plans to meet the needs of individual students
  • Assessing student progress and adjusting instruction accordingly
  • Communicating with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress
  • Participating in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices in language instruction

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
  • French teaching certification an asset
  • Good knowledge of the current Grades 4-12 French core curriculum
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills
  • Strong French skills and ability to guide students' understanding
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
