Job Description

We are seeking a Developmental Service Worker III to join our Transitional Aged Youth Home team. As a Developmental Service Worker III, you will work with individuals with developmental disabilities to develop goals, goal plans, and strategies to support their transition to independent living.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with individuals to develop goals and goal plans
  • Conduct needs analysis to identify unique needs of individuals
  • Support the delivery of services and supports according to goal plans
  • Locate programs, services, housing, and employment opportunities for individuals
  • Work effectively with other members of the TAY staff to develop strategies and implement therapeutic programming
  • Provide direction to Level 1 and Level 2 TAY Support Workers
  • Ensure the appropriate personal and physical care, crisis response, counseling, and emotional support are provided
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary diploma/degree in Social Services and/or Developmental Services
  • Valid First Aid and Safe Management certifications
  • Strong knowledge of computer applications
  • Minimum two years of recent work-related experience in developmental services
  • Experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Experience with case management and supporting youth involved in the child welfare system
