We are seeking a seasoned technical leader to join our team at Amazon that builds Journal Control Plane services and automations at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop novel, cutting-edge distributed systems software with high availability and scalability.
- Deliver quality features on-time and on-budget, executing against project plans and delivery commitments.
- Collaborate with team members to manage day-to-day development activities, participate in designs, design reviews, code reviews, and implementation.
- Mentor other engineers and maintain current technical knowledge to support rapidly changing technology.
About the Role:
This position involves on-call responsibilities, typically for one week every two months. Our team puts a high value on work-life balance and strives to ensure our systems are fault-tolerant. We offer flexibility in working hours and encourage you to find your own balance between work and personal life.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
