Job Overview
In the role of Early Learning Facilitator, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality child care services to children aged 4-12 years old within local schools. Located in the Hamilton, Burlington, and Brantford regions, this position is an excellent opportunity for those passionate about early childhood education.

About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing programs that cater to the developmental needs of children. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with school personnel, parents, and other educators to promote positive relationships and ensure the effective delivery of our services.

This position requires strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, as well as excellent communication abilities both verbally and written. You will have the flexibility to work a split shift schedule, including before and after school hours, and will be expected to adapt to changing program requirements. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years' experience in a licensed child care setting, either through paid work, volunteering, placements, or a combination of these. In addition, a degree or diploma in Child and Youth Care, Recreation and Leisure Services, or a related field is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include planning, organizing, and leading activities that meet the developmental needs of children. This may involve designing and implementing engaging programs for groups ranging from 10 to 90 children, ensuring compliance with regulatory items such as the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), YMCA, Ministry of Education, and Ministry of Labour guidelines. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and safety of children at all times, identifying potential hazards, and implementing preventative measures. The role also involves collaborating with parents, school staff, and community contacts, as well as purchasing snack supplies and adhering to a snack menu plan. Furthermore, the successful candidate will participate in Association-wide events and attend monthly meetings and professional learning sessions to enhance their knowledge and skills.

Requirements
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, applicants must possess a strong passion for early childhood education, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a commitment to building positive relationships. Membership in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) or Ontario College of Teachers (OCT), or a diploma/degree in a related field, is highly desired. A minimum of two years' experience in a licensed child care setting, obtained through paid work, volunteering, placements, or a combination of these, is also required. Moreover, the ideal candidate will have current Standard First Aid and CPR-C & AED certification (Level C) and a satisfactory Police Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC).
