About the Role

Arrow Manufacturing is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Setter to join our team. As a CNC Programmer/Setter, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality parts.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Programming and Setup: Develop and input CNC programs based on technical drawings and specifications using software such as Mastercam or AutoCAD. Set up CNC machines, including selecting and installing the appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials.
  2. Operation and Inspection: Operate CNC machines to produce parts, ensuring that all operations are performed accurately and efficiently. Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  3. Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure they are operating correctly and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
  4. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Requirements
  1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Experience: Minimum 5+ years experience as a CNC Programmer/Setter in a manufacturing environment.
Skills and Expertise
  1. CNC Programming: Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and CNC programs. Proficiency in CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code.
  2. Technical Knowledge: Understands complex datum structures, including those for large weldments. Advanced work-holding for large components.
  3. Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex mechanical and operational issues.
  4. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  5. Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move heavy materials and tools (up to 50 lbs).
Equipment and Tools
  1. Measuring Tools: Measuring tools and instruments, such as micrometers, verniers, callipers, height gauges or other specialized measuring instruments.
  2. CNC Machines: 3, 4 and 5-Axis CNC machines.
