Purchasing Director

At AppleOne, we are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Director to lead our global components purchasing, MRO, and Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and monitoring cost-reduction strategies and alternative sourcing strategies to ensure suppliers deliver on time, within budget, and within quality specifications.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for components and MRO, leveraging sustainable suppliers in low-cost jurisdictions to achieve the highest quality parts at the most competitive cost.
- Lead a team of global professional purchasers and SQA function to ensure continuity of supply, reduce lead times, and guarantee supply.
- Maintain positive supplier relations, negotiate best cost contracts, and monitor supplier performance.
- Drive and deliver cost savings strategies, develop budgets, and meet targets.
- 10+ years of direct progressive automotive experience in purchasing, sales, and/or quality management.
- 5+ years of experience in global automotive supply chain development and implementation.
- 7-10 years of management experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of TS16949 and the new IATF quality requirements.
