**Job Title:** Purchasing Director - Global Sourcing Expert
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Director to lead our global sourcing efforts and drive cost reduction strategies. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that optimize costs, improve quality, and ensure timely delivery of components and materials.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and monitor cost-reduction strategies and alternative sourcing strategies to improve profitability and competitiveness.
- Lead a team of global procurement professionals to ensure suppliers deliver on time, within budget, and within quality specifications.
- Leverage the company's buying power to optimize costs, access new suppliers, reduce lead times, and guarantee supply.
- Drive and deliver global sourcing strategy for components and MRO leveraging sustainable suppliers in low-cost jurisdictions.
- Maintain positive supplier relations, negotiate best cost contracts, and monitor supplier performance.
**Requirements:**
- 10+ years of direct progressive experience in purchasing, sales, and/or quality management.
- 5+ years of experience in global automotive supply chain development and implementation.
- 7-10 years of management experience in a fast-paced environment.
- 5+ years of experience in leading global professional purchasers and SQA functions.
- 5-7 years of experience in contract facilitation and negotiation.
- 3+ years of experience in lean manufacturing or Toyota production system.
- Knowledge of TS16949 and the new IATF quality requirements.
- Experience working in a diverse cultural environment within a global complex corporation.
- Solid track record in development of budgets, cost savings strategies, and meeting targets.
