Nurse Informaticist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Informatics Specialist to join our team at Island Health. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing and a deep understanding of clinical informatics principles.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

• A recognized nursing degree and current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives
• At least three years of recent experience in a healthcare environment, with a strong focus on clinical informatics, clinical change management, and project leadership
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical, operational, and vendor staff
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize workload and work independently
• Knowledge of new trends in clinical practice and information systems, with a commitment to continuous improvement

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining successful working relationships with customers, stakeholders, and colleagues
• Supporting organizational and departmental clinical change management policies and procedures
• Participating in the automation of professional practice and clinical practice process redesign
• Providing coaching, facilitation, and leadership to others
• Solving problems using quality improvement processes
• Utilizing computer literacy skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
