Cardiologist Position in Nanaimo

Island Health's Department of Cardiology is seeking two full-time Cardiologists to join their team in Nanaimo. The successful candidates will be part of a well-established 20-member Division of Cardiology in Victoria and will have the opportunity to establish a Heart Health Division in Nanaimo.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing consultation services for hospitalist and other specialty groups
- Interpreting echocardiograms (Canadian level 2 training or higher with currency)
- Reading Holter and ECG tests
- Supervising nuclear perfusion imaging
- Performing pericardiocentesis and DC Cardioversions
- Conducting rapid cardiac assessment clinics
- FRCPC Cardiology or eligibility for Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Internal Medicine and Cardiology exams
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC
- Preference given to candidates with experience in coronary care units and acute and office-based cardiology
