Cardiology Opportunities at Island Health

We are seeking skilled Cardiologists to join our team at Island Health, a leading healthcare provider in British Columbia. As a Cardiologist with our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated group of cardiac internists and intensivists at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide consultation services for hospitalist and other specialty groups
  • Interpret echocardiography, Holter, and ECG readings
  • Supervise nuclear perfusion imaging and perform pericardiocentesis, DC Cardioversions, and rapid cardiac assessment clinics
  • Participate in cardiology division and other relevant meetings
Requirements:
  • FRCPC Cardiology or eligibility for Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Internal Medicine and Cardiology exams
  • Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC
  • Preference given to candidates with experience in coronary care units and acute and office-based cardiology
