About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Renewable Energy Project Manager with expertise in SCADA system development and design to join our team at Snaphunt.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Execution: Lead the execution of SCADA projects for wind, battery, solar, and PV + Storage power systems, ensuring timely delivery and quality workmanship.
  • SCADA Engineering: Provide engineering expertise on SCADA system integration life cycles, including design, development, implementation, and commissioning phases.
  • Client Management: Collaborate with EPC/Owner clients to deliver procurement and deployment plans, timelines, and budgets for SCADA projects.
  • Schedule and Budget Management: Manage project schedules and budgets closely, maintaining detailed project schedules for all SCADA-related tasks and driving internal and external parties to meet deadlines.
  • Communication and Coordination: Schedule and run recurring project meetings internally and with clients, ensuring clear communication and expectations.
  • Scope and Budget Updates: Be mindful of possible scope creeps/gaps and update budgets and scopes with clients as needed.
  • Team Management: Manage IT consultants and subcontractors for network security deliverables, testing, budgets, and system completion.
  • Installation and Testing: Coordinate project site TELCO installation, scheduling, and manage schedules and owner's expectations, deploying SCADA solutions according to timelines and budget.
  • Quality Assurance: Work closely with the client's team and RRC SCADA team to ensure a quality system is installed and tested to design specifications.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Extensive Management Experience: Proven experience in managing SCADA projects and well-versed in SCADA integration life cycles.
  • Technical Skills: Working experience with SCADA software programming, historians, MS SQL servers, Wonderware or Inductive Automation Ignition 7.x or 8.x software, Modbus, Modbus TCP, OPC, DNP3, SELFast, IEC 61850, ICCP, automation control systems, RTAC programming, Rockwell PLC and Control Logix programming, BESS EMS system, and Power Utility scale SCADA system development and design.
  • Knowledge and Certifications: Knowledge of NERC CIP requirements, Power Plant Networking, Security, and Firewalls, and ability to communicate complex SCADA and controls concepts to non-domain experts.
  • Adaptability and Travel: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and travel up to 10%.
