About This Role


We are seeking a skilled Technical Solutions Architect to join our team. This role will be responsible for designing comprehensive end-to-end solutions with overall accountability for technical design and delivery.



Key Responsibilities


This role will involve:



  • Developing and documenting detailed solution designs within the System Design Specification (SDS) and acting as an application SME through the design and development lifecycle.
  • Leading the creation of solution options and coordinating relevant stakeholders to support development initiatives.
  • Providing estimates for new projects and initiatives for the development/design component of the overall plan.
  • Developing functional, technical, and user interface designs for applications/systems that meet defined requirements.
  • Consulting on the development of the System Requirements Specification (SRS) and applying functional knowledge of business functions to design optimal software/systems.
  • Reviewing technical deliverables throughout the detailed design and development phase to ensure quality adherence and identifying gaps or redesign requirements as needed.
  • Working with Technology Project Managers, Business Analysts/Systems Analysts, and other team members to define metrics and performance goals for applications.
  • Complying with well-defined enterprise technology delivery practices and standards, project management disciplines, business technology architecture, and risk/protection capacity.
  • Delivering effective and efficient solutions by meeting key project milestones and ensuring project deliverables are on time, within budget, and adhere to corporate quality/security standards.
  • Assisting in the identification of opportunities to minimize cost, providing recommendations, and/or delivering corresponding strategic solutions to support cost-effectiveness and enhance stakeholder experience.
  • Conducting code reviews to ensure adherence to quality, standards compliance, reusability, and ease of maintenance, Operational Readiness Reviews, and supporting gating/review sign-offs for solution design.
  • Ssupporting knowledge management processes for LOB/portfolio and ensuring knowledge is codified, monitored, tracked, and managed.
  • Ensuring design leverages existing reusable components and has traceability to business requirements and ensuring new modules are designed with reusability as a key requirement.
  • Identifying and addressing application/data issues and cross-capability/cross-release issues that affect application integrity.
  • Providing technical support for escalated incidents/outages to ensure they are resolved efficiently with minimal impact to stakeholders.


Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • An undergraduate degree or technical certificate.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • A strong understanding of system design, architecture, and software development principles.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead complex projects.
  • Knowledge of programming languages, operating systems, and software development tools.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and version control systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
