Mainframe Security Expert Wanted for Global IT Infrastructure

Software International (SI) is a leading provider of technical talent to top companies worldwide. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Mainframe Security Architect to join our global IT infrastructure consulting client in the finance domain.

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced professional with expertise in ACF2 and RACF to work on a long-term engagement. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of z/OS System Programming, SMP/E, and system utilities. Experience working with vendors and adapting to standard change management processes is a plus.

About the Role:

  • Architect solutions in collaboration with clients, sales teams, and vendors
  • Act as a bridge between client stakeholders and technical teams
  • Deliver architected solutions through close collaboration with Mainframe system programmers and project managers
  • Document solutions using relevant tools like Word, Visio, MS Project, and PowerPoint
  • Gather business and technical requirements from various teams
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects across multiple customers
  • Educate, mentor, and coach teams in architectural techniques
  • Accurately document technical artifacts
  • Expertise in SMP/E, ACF2, RACF, IO Gen, Assembler Language, BMC & IBM Scheduler software, TSO, ISPF, and problem management

Requirements:

  • Mainframe Security System ACF2 & RACF SME/Architect experience
  • At least 5 years of experience as a z/OS System Programmer
  • SMP/E, ACF2, RACF, IO Gen, and Assembler Language expertise
  • Familiarity with SYSPLEX concepts and CPU keys

Bonus Points:

  • Bilingualism in French and English
  • Adaptation to standard client change management processes

We estimate the salary for this role to be around $120,000-$150,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
