Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Security Expert to join our global IT infrastructure consulting client in the Montreal area on a long-term engagement with one of their clients in the finance domain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients, sales teams, and vendors to design and implement secure mainframe solutions.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams, including sales, proposal managers, project managers, system programmers, and infrastructure specialists.
  • Work closely with mainframe system programmers and project managers to deliver secure solutions.
  • Document solutions, including roadmaps, design documents, diagrams, and project plans, using relevant documentation tools.
  • Conduct business and technical requirements gathering sessions with various teams.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects across multiple clients, balancing tasks and priorities.
  • Mediate and manage architectural conditions, including those contractually required.
  • Educate, mentor, and coach teams on architectural techniques.
  • Accurately document technical artifacts.
  • Knowledge of SMP/E and system utilities, ACF2, RACF, IO Gen (HCD), Assembler Language, and ability to develop, maintain, and deploy Assembler code; BMC & IBM Scheduler software; TSO; ISPF; understanding of problem & change management.

Requirements:

  • Mainframe Security System ACF2 & RACF SME/Architect
  • 5+ years of experience as a z/OS System Programmer.
  • Knowledge of SMP/E and system utilities, ACF2, RACF, IO Gen (HCD), Assembler Language.
  • Understanding of SYSPLEX concepts, familiarity with CPU keys (ordering, applying), experience working with vendors.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (French and English).
  • Adaptation to standard client change management process.
