Sessional Instructor: Essay and the Argument: ELL, Faculty of Arts and Science
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced instructor to teach English language and literature courses at OCAD University. The successful candidate will have a strong background in teaching and a passion for working with students from diverse backgrounds.
Responsibilities:- Teach English language and literature courses to students from diverse backgrounds
- Develop and implement course materials and assessments
- Provide feedback and support to students
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
- Master's or Ph.D. in English language and literature or a related field
- Teaching experience at the post-secondary level
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds
Sessional appointments are fixed-term annual contracts. Sessional compensation includes a per-course pay scale with salary level of $6,871.00 (per 0.5 credit course) plus 7% in lieu of benefits and vacation pay, per the provisions of the Employment Standards Act.
