Job Summary

Bartek Ingredients Inc is seeking a skilled Stationary Engineer Apprentice to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating our power plant equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and record instrument readings and equipment malfunction to identify areas for improvement and optimize plant performance.
  • Assist during routine systems testing to ensure equipment is functioning correctly and safely.
  • Assist in locating and isolating system problems to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Assist in the development of operation, maintenance, and safety procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Investigate problems to fix or make minor repairs, ensuring equipment is returned to optimal working condition.
  • Maintain a daily log of operation, maintenance, and safety activities to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect equipment malfunctioning and ensure plant systems are operating normally.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Start up and shut down power plant equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Write plant or building operation reports to document activities and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Stationary Engineering Trade Certification
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
