We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a conference organizer for our upcoming event.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the logistics and planning of our annual film studies conference, ensuring its success and providing an excellent experience for our attendees.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Organize and coordinate all aspects of the conference, including venue selection, catering, and audiovisual equipment.
  2. Manage the registration process, handling attendee inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
  3. Collaborate with speakers and presenters to ensure smooth delivery of their sessions.
  4. Coordinate with sponsors and exhibitors to provide them with optimal exposure during the conference.
  5. Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the conference and attract a diverse range of attendees.
  6. Work closely with the conference committee to make key decisions and drive the overall direction of the event.
  7. Maintain accurate records and reports on conference-related activities, including attendance, revenue, and expenses.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as event management, marketing, or communications.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in conference organizing or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, with experience using event management software a plus.
