Product Engineering Director

Key Responsibilities:- Ensure product development meets government standards and company quality assurance.
- Coordinate product testing, methods, reports, and maintenance to meet national standards and third-party compliance.
- Develop and maintain engineering and inspection acceptance criteria, testing, and report documents.
- Review and approve engineering change notices.
- Plan and maintain product projects, particularly third-party test laboratory certification costs.
- Maintain instrument calibration and laboratory status for third-party testing at company test sites.
- Develop and maintain CAD/CAM, ERP, and publishing software and files for the Research & Development department.
- Develop and maintain all forms of correspondence and testing in the Research & Development department.
- Inspect Research & Development for safety and adhere to Joint Health and Safety committee observations and directives.
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Ten years of experience in a manufacturing facility, with a progression of increased responsibility in developing household consumer products or demonstrated equivalency.
- Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) designation.
- Knowledge of ERP systems, CAD systems, product testing, and national safety standards with third-party certification.
