Our client is a well-established company in the manufacturing and retail space, seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join their team. As a corporate tax leader, you will oversee tax compliance across all legal entities. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of tax experience gained at a Big 4 or mid-sized public accounting firm at a senior or manager level, with a strong technical base and excellent interpersonal communication skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the preparation and review of corporate income tax returns and other required filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulatory requirements. They will also develop and review quarterly and year-end tax provisions, collaborating with internal teams to deliver timely and precise financial reporting.

In addition, the Corporate Tax Manager will oversee the calculation and scheduling of instalment payments and final tax payment estimates to optimize cash flow and minimize risk. They will conduct in-depth research on complex tax planning and compliance issues, including excise tax matters, interpreting regulations to provide actionable insights and guidance.

This role suits a proactive professional who excels in solving complex tax challenges and thrives in a collaborative, high-impact environment. The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Requirements:
  • 5+ years of tax experience gained at a Big 4 or mid-sized public accounting firm at a senior or manager level
  • Candidate must have corporate tax experience in a related sector such as retail or international tax
  • Completion of CICA in-depth tax course
  • Strong technical base with broad tax skills, excellent interpersonal communication skills, well organized and has ability to recognize and solve problems
  • Member in good standing with Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) Canada
