About the Role

The ideal candidate will have at least 7 months of experience in a supervisory role, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and improving operational efficiency. You will be responsible for managing a team of 5-10 sales workers, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their performance goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign sales workers to duties to maximize productivity and achieve sales targets;
  • Hire, train, and develop staff to improve overall performance and engagement;
  • Authorize return of merchandise and resolve customer complaints in a fair and timely manner;
  • Establish work schedules to meet business needs and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction;
  • Sell merchandise and promote products to customers through effective communication and upselling techniques;
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions;
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages;
  • Organize and maintain inventory levels to minimize stockouts and overstocking;
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure smooth operation of the store;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate;
  • At least 7 months of experience in a supervisory role;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with customers and staff;
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with customers and colleagues;
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines;
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities;
  • Reliability and dependability to ensure consistent performance and results;
  • Initiative to take ownership of problems and find solutions;
  • Judgement to make informed decisions and take calculated risks;
