We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at O.K. Food Mart Ltd. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our retail store, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have at least 7 months of experience in a supervisory role, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and improving operational efficiency. You will be responsible for managing a team of 5-10 sales workers, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their performance goals.
Key Responsibilities- Assign sales workers to duties to maximize productivity and achieve sales targets;
- Hire, train, and develop staff to improve overall performance and engagement;
- Authorize return of merchandise and resolve customer complaints in a fair and timely manner;
- Establish work schedules to meet business needs and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction;
- Sell merchandise and promote products to customers through effective communication and upselling techniques;
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions;
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages;
- Organize and maintain inventory levels to minimize stockouts and overstocking;
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure smooth operation of the store;
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A secondary (high) school graduation certificate;
- At least 7 months of experience in a supervisory role;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with customers and staff;
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with customers and colleagues;
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines;
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities;
- Reliability and dependability to ensure consistent performance and results;
- Initiative to take ownership of problems and find solutions;
- Judgement to make informed decisions and take calculated risks;
This is a permanent full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package, including:
