About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Power Systems Technician to join our team at AtkinsRéalis.

Job Description

This role involves maintaining and inspecting electrical power supply and distribution equipment, including high voltage systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our 26 KV traction power stations, as well as all power distribution to stations and the guideway.

The ideal candidate will have strong trouble-shooting skills, including the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams. They must also be capable of working outside in all weather conditions and have a valid class 5 BC driver's license.

This is a safety critical position, requiring the candidate to ensure the guideway is safe for train operation and the safety of other non-Guideway employees or contractors when working on the guideway.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certified Red Seal Electrician
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in maintaining electrical power supply and distribution equipment, with high voltage experience and strong trouble-shooting skills
  • Railborne Equipment Certification
