Job Summary

The Fraser Health Authority is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join its team in a primary care position. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive assessment and treatment of patients, including diagnosing diseases, disorders, and conditions, initiating treatment, and prescribing medications. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong clinical expertise and a passion for providing compassionate care.

About the Role

The Nurse Practitioner will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other health professionals to identify and assess trends and patterns that have implications for patients, families, and communities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing population-based strategies to improve health and participating in policy-making activities that influence health services and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Diagnose and treat patients for undifferentiated diseases, disorders, and conditions.
  2. Order appropriate screening diagnostic investigations and interpret reports to monitor progress and plan treatment.
  3. Establish priorities for management of health, diseases, disorders, and conditions, and communicate with patients and families about health findings, diagnoses, and priorities.
  4. Collaborate and consult with physicians and other health care and social service providers to assess and diagnose patient status, develop and implement treatment plans, and admit and discharge patients to facilities as necessary.
