Canso Ford Sales is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join its team in Port Hawkesbury. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe maintenance and repair of customer vehicles in our repair shop.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose issues, perform repairs, and verify those repairs with a road test.
- Perform routine scheduled maintenance.
- Inspect vehicles to ensure they meet provincial safety standards and to determine if additional service work is required.
- Explain procedures and repairs directly to the Service Advisor.
- Encourage compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- College diploma or trade school certificate in Automotive Studies, or equivalent.
- Strong aptitude of technical/mechanical repairs.
- Dealership experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license (driving record check required).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment to achieve common goals.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Basic computer skills.
