We are seeking a skilled Livestock Labourer to join our team at VanBoekel Holdings. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily care and management of our livestock, including feeding, monitoring health, and maintaining records.
Key Responsibilities- Disinfect pens, barns, and poultry houses to maintain a clean and healthy environment for the animals.
- Handle and care for animals, including feeding, monitoring health, and administering medication as needed.
- Monitor animal health and detect any signs of disease or illness.
- Perform general farm duties, including cleaning stables, barns, and pens.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
- Carry out pasture or pen breeding programs to ensure the health and well-being of the animals.
- Maintain accurate records of livestock performance and health.
- Will train
- Permanent employment
- English language proficiency
- Ability to work 40-50 hours per week
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on animal welfare and productivity. The work site environment is dusty, hot, and noisy, with exposure to odours and wet/damp conditions.
