We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Return-to-Work Specialist to join our team at J.D. Irving. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient return to work of employees who have been absent due to illness or injury.
Key Responsibilities- Employee Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for employees on medical leave, providing support and guidance throughout the return-to-work process.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee absences, including employer statements, payroll information, and functional job descriptions.
- Return-to-Work Planning: Collaborate with employees, managers, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement return-to-work plans that meet the individual needs of each employee.
- Accommodation and Support: Ensure that employees receive necessary accommodations and support to facilitate a safe and successful return to work.
- Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with various stakeholders, including employees, managers, healthcare professionals, and insurance providers, to ensure seamless communication and coordination throughout the return-to-work process.
- Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field, such as disability management, health sciences, social work, or vocational rehabilitation.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in return-to-work, disability management, or a related field.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational and communication skills, ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities, and proficiency in MS Office.
- Language: Bilingualism (French and English) is required.
