Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Senior Consultant, you will be tasked with the following:

  • Oversee project management and document the success of design, application, and product modifications in the field.
  • Foster and maintain customer relationships, acting as a subject matter expert to provide best practice recommendations supported by key metrics.
  • Manage project-related expenses, including materials and travel costs.
  • Contribute to achieving targeted customer profitability as measured by EBIT.
  • Oversee the management of company assets to align with organizational objectives.
  • Conduct pre-blast assessments, including face profiles, borehole deviation measurements, and safety audits.
  • Measure blast performance through various methodologies, including digital high-speed video and vibration monitoring.
  • Perform time studies on personnel and equipment across various operations.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to address operational challenges and business inquiries.
  • Enhance service requirements to continuously improve customer profitability.
  • Maintain effective communication with all DynoConsult engineers and personnel.
  • Document and archive project reports accurately.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in geology, mining, civil engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in construction, mining, or the explosives sector, encompassing both surface and underground mining.
  • Preferred experience in project management.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environments.
  • Possession of an engineer's permit, in good standing, registered in any Canadian province.
  • Approval letter for access to high-explosive or general explosives permits.
  • Certification in Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Basic underground hard rock mining service training or equivalent certification.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 60%) based on work requirements, with vehicle provision.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is an asset.
  • A positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a collaborative spirit.
