Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Control Equipment Assembler to join our team at B4U Electrical Ltd.

About the Role

This is a permanent position requiring 37.5 hours of work per week. The successful candidate will have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and at least one year of experience in a similar role, or equivalent experience.

The work site environment is noisy, odourous, dusty, hot, and cold/refrigerated with exposure to heights and confined spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and fit metal and prefabricated parts to close tolerances according to blueprints;
  • Assemble stators or armatures for heavy-duty electric motors;
  • Collect, record and summarize inspection results;
  • Compress steel laminations to build transformer cores;
  • Assemble winding into core and make electrical connections;
  • Interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics and blueprints;
  • Assemble and fit electrical motor or transformer auxiliary equipment;
  • Fitting electrical control devices into switchboards and panelboards;
  • Wire electrical connections for switchboards and panel boards;
  • Assemble panelboard and switchboard cabinets and install bus bars;
  • Monitor production and troubleshoot production problems;
  • Check final assembly for adherence to quality control standards;
  • Set up and adjust production machineries/tools;

  • Installation, testing, fabrication, wiring, and inspection expertise;
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel;
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Sitting and standing for extended periods with manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination;
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling, and attention to detail.
Benefits
