Job Overview

Calian Group Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cyber Security Solutions Architect to support the development of secure and reliable technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cyber security and experience in designing and implementing security solutions.

This is a full-time contract position with flexible work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Security Solution Design: Oversee the delivery of security solution designs based on business, operational, technical, and security requirements, as well as IT strategies.
  2. Solution Development: Participate in all phases of the solution development life cycle to implement required information technology, adding technical expertise, creativity, and a seasoned perspective to initiatives and teams.
  3. Technology Evaluation: Facilitate the evaluation and selection of hardware and software technology and product standards, as well as the design of standard configurations and their implementation and migration into operations.
  4. Research and Development: Research and monitor technology developments and industry trends; assess their applicability, functionality, and reliability for the company; and recommend technologies that will enhance productivity and the achievement of business objectives.
  5. Security Threat Assessment: Research and monitor security threats as they evolve in the industry and assess their impact on current security technologies and processes.
  6. Architecture Development: Contribute to the development of the overall Cyber Security Solution Architecture processes, tools, standards, and templates.
  7. Solution Alignment: Support the creation of solutions that meet the Cyber Security Program's strategic and tactical objectives while adhering to enterprise architecture and standards.
  8. Integration and Assurance: Contribute to the integration of services, data flow, and infrastructure architectures and ensure they are designed to meet evolving business/operational requirements and standards for reliability, scalability, and availability.
  9. Security Alignment: Assist with ensuring that the chosen solutions are closely aligned with the company's cybersecurity initiatives and vision, including securing of cloud-based solutions.
  10. Other Responsibilities: Other activities and deliverables, as required.
Requirements
  1. A minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience in a Cyber Security role in organizations with more than 500 employees, using various high availability solutions.
  2. University degree or college diploma in computer science, IT engineering, or cyber security.
  3. A minimum of ten (10) years of recent relevant work experience in the IT field.
  4. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in developing solutions architecture.
  5. A minimum of five (5) years of IT security experience.
  6. A minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a cyber assessment program.
  7. Demonstrated experience in the development and application of security policies and security technical standards.
  8. Demonstrated experience with different architecture and design techniques (e.g., object-oriented, top-down, structured analysis, and component-based design) and tools.
  9. Demonstrated experience in the design and implementation of security solutions.
  10. Demonstrated experience with security Information and event management (SIEM) platforms (Splunk) and end-point detection and response (EDR) platforms (Tanium) is an asset.
  11. Demonstrated experience in the implementation of cyber security solutions in Microsoft Azure is an asset.
