Reinforcing steel, also known as rebar, is a crucial ingredient that gives strength to concrete, ensuring buildings and infrastructure remain strong and stable for years to come. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in creating rebar placing drawings for our construction projects in Alberta.

Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for producing placing drawings according to structural drawings, reviewing them for errors, and releasing bar lists to manufacturers. They will also monitor the drawing submission schedule and communicate regularly with our technical coordinators and project managers.

Main Job Responsibilities:

  • Produce placing drawings according to structural drawings;
  • Review drawings for errors and compliance with Canadian and government standards;
  • Release bar lists to manufacturers;
  • Monitor drawing submission schedule;
  • Communicate with technical coordinators and project managers.

About You:

  • Degree or diploma in technical engineering, architecture, or building design;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role;
  • 1-2 years of experience with rebar;
  • Experience with Autocad (required);
  • Experience with Rebarcad (asset);
  • Ability to read and understand drawings.
