Job Title: Financial Accounting Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accounting Director to join our team at HomeEquity Bank. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing complex technical accounting functions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing guidance on complex accounting matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the technical accounting function, ensuring adherence to GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Provide expertise on complex technical accounting issues, including revenue recognition, leases, financial instruments, business combinations, and consolidations.
  • Interpret and implement new accounting standards, ensuring compliance across the organization.
  • Advise senior management and stakeholders on technical accounting matters and their impact on the organization.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Professional Accounting Designation, CPA, CA.
  • 8-10 years previous experience, within Financial Services.
  • Experience working in an accounting firm or in a technical accounting role within a large public company is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Workday and Workiva is an asset.
  • MS Office suite of products with an emphasis on strong Excel skills.
