About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscaping Foreman/Woman to join our team at Clintar Landscape Management. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our landscaping crew and ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, Train, and Supervise Staff: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of landscaping professionals to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
  • Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement plans for the maintenance of our clients' properties, including lawn care, tree pruning, and other landscaping services.
  • Organize and Direct Construction Projects: Oversee the construction of decks, patios, and other hardscapes, ensuring that all work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Manage Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures to ensure that all projects are completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Requisition and Order Materials and Equipment: Source and purchase all necessary materials and equipment to ensure that our team has everything they need to complete their tasks.
  • Resolve Work Problems and Provide Technical Advice: Troubleshoot any issues that arise during projects and provide technical advice to team members to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to complete their tasks.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in landscaping or a related field
  • Language: English
  • Work Environment: Outdoors, hot, cold/refrigerated
  • Work Setting: Supervision
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Chain saw, pick-up truck, small engine equipment, tractor mower
  • Area of Work Experience: Snow removal
  • Area of Specialization: Lawn care, tree service, grounds maintenance
  • Security and Safety: Driver's validity licence check
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence, own transportation
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, ability to distinguish between colours
  • Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
